Samuel Adams
Samuel Adams was a politician and a strong business man from Boston. He was extremely vital to the events and ideas that led up to the Revolution such as the Boston Tea Party. He was one of the main people to organize the Boston Tea Party and was a necessary part of the Sons of Liberty. Not only did he contribute to the Boston Tea Party, but he help contribute to the revolt against the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, and the Townshend Act. He attended Harvard and was very knowledgeable in the concepts of the English law and Tax codes. He used this knowledge to encourage and lead protests against the new tax policies of Parliament following the French and Indian War. Since Samuel Adams' cousin, John Adams, was a president, Samuel had great power. I feel that without Samuel Adams then the Revolution may have never started.
